Principal Investing
Investment for own account — financial contracts, securities speculation, investment clubs, venture capital, and principal dealing in mineral and oil royalties, mortgages, tax liens, and viatical settlements.
CWE Investment I, LLC is an investment and fiduciary office on Kingsbury Boulevard, Copley — four desks: principal investing, investment counsel, fund and trust administration, and securities services. Discretion on the record, in writing.
Four desks, one register — what the firm invests, advises, administers, and settles. The full desk-by-desk breakdown is on the Desks page.
Investment for own account — financial contracts, securities speculation, investment clubs, venture capital, and principal dealing in mineral and oil royalties, mortgages, tax liens, and viatical settlements.
Customized financial planning and investment advice — certified financial planning, advisory and counseling services, fees paid by the client, not the product.
Investment management — mutual funds, private equity, pension and portfolio funds — plus personal investment trust administration and estate administration.
Nondepository trust company work — securities custody, transfer agency, stock quotation services, escrow and fiduciary agency, and holders' protective committees.
When the firm invests for its own account, it discloses the position. When it advises, the fee comes from the client — not a commission hidden in the product.
Client assets held in trust or custody stay on their own ledger — identified, separated, and reconciled. The register is auditable on request.
Recommendations come with the reasoning on paper — objectives, risk, and the fee. Verbal enthusiasm is not advice.
Where the firm acts as trustee, custodian, or escrow agent, the beneficiary's interest governs — the instruction is followed to the letter.
CWE Investment operates from Copley, Ohio — a working Midwest market close to Akron and Cleveland's financial corridor, where estates, funds, and principal positions get administered the old way: on the register.
Four desks under one register means one accountable record: the position, the advice, the trust, and the custody — reconciled, reported, and auditable.
"An investment office isn't measured by what it promises. It's measured by whether the register balances and the fiduciary duty held."
